Business Data Architect, remote (preferably in Switzerland) – International client Profile: Architect. Knowledge: Data. Minimum experience: Over 10 years. Studies required: Graduate. Language: English (C1) MANDATORY. Location: Remote (preferably in Switzerland). DESCRIPTION: The Business Data Architect is responsible for defining and managing business-driven data models to support finance reporting, planning, and analytics within a global transformation context. The role bridges business and technology by translating requirements into scalable data structures, while designing and overseeing end-to-end data flows into a centralized finance data hub. It also ensures the establishment of data standards, definitions, and governance practices to enable consistent, high-quality, and reusable data across the organization. Description of the tasks: · Define and own business-driven data models for finance reporting, planning, and analytics. · Translate business requirements into scalable and structured data models. · Act as a liaison between Finance stakeholders and technology teams. · Design and oversee end-to-end data flows from source systems into the global finance data hub. · Establish and enforce data definitions, standards, and governance frameworks. · Ensure data consistency, quality, and reusability across finance processes. · Collaborate with local and international stakeholders to support the transformation program. · Support the implementation of a Finance data lake within a global environment. Knowledge and skills: · Strong expertise in data architecture and data modeling within complex environments. · Solid understanding of finance processes and data dimensions, including local and group-level interactions. · Experience with modern cloud data platforms such as Data Lake/Lakehouse architectures, Snowflake, or Databricks. · Knowledge of data governance, data standards, and data quality practices. · Ability to design scalable data structures and manage end-to-end data flows. · Strong IT literacy, including tools such as Excel and PowerPoint. · Familiarity with AI-driven approaches or an AI-first mindset. · (Desirable) CDMP certification.
