Kentucky Educational Speech-Language Pathologist (Virtual)

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active Kentucky SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
  • Two or more years of professional experience preferred
  • Previous school-based and/or teletherapy experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Comfortable utilizing virtual platforms and digital tools

Primary Responsibilities Assessment & Service Delivery

  • Conduct virtual speech and language evaluations for students receiving services remotely
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and student needs
  • Deliver engaging teletherapy sessions and monitor student progress toward goals
  • Analyze performance data to modify interventions and maximize outcomes

Collaboration & Team Participation

  • Partner with teachers, families, and school staff to support student achievement
  • Participate in virtual IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Share strategies and recommendations to promote skill carryover across educational settings

Telepractice & Technology

  • Utilize teletherapy platforms and digital resources to provide effective services
  • Adapt materials and activities to create an interactive virtual learning environment
  • Assist with basic technology troubleshooting and support platform accessibility for families

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate records of services provided, student progress, and goal updates
  • Complete evaluations, reports, and required documentation within established timelines
  • Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education requirements

Advocacy & Student Support

  • Support equitable access to communication services and educational opportunities
  • Provide resources, education, and guidance to families and school personnel regarding speech and language development
