This role involves handling litigation, charges, and demand letters related to employment and labor law. The position requires a commitment of 1850 hours annually. Duties

  • Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges.
  • Advise, counsel, and train employers on various employment and labor law issues.
  • Represent employers in court or arbitration, before administrative agencies, and at mediations in employment matters.

Requirements

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
  • 4+ years of experience handling California employment litigation for Associate role consideration.
  • 9+ years of relevant California experience for Of Counsel level, with first chair capacity.
  • Admission to the CA state bar and compliance with ethical requirements.
  • Understanding of current agency (state and federal) procedures.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the California State Bar.
