Why This Role Matters

The Integrated Data Analyst position is a cornerstone of careerzynith’s Flight Operations Safety ecosystem. You will serve as the subject‑matter expert for the Integrated Data Collection and Analysis Tool (IDCAT), translating raw flight data into actionable insights that shape training programs, enhance safety protocols, and support the Advanced Qualification Program (AQP). Your analytical storytelling will help ensure that every flight instructor, evaluator, and crew member benefits from data‑driven decisions that keep our skies safe and our customers satisfied.

Key Responsibilities

  • Timely FAA Reporting: Ensure accurate and on‑time submission of monthly FAA reports, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
  • IDCAT Administration: Manage all aspects of the IDCAT software, including user support, comment tracking, and data entry for flight instructors and evaluators.
  • Data Integration & Dashboarding: Download, cleanse, and load Tableau data to careerzynith’s secure servers; populate and maintain live dashboards that visualize performance trends.
  • Data Analysis & Visualization: Create, analyze, and present Tableau workbooks that highlight key safety metrics, training effectiveness, and operational gaps.
  • Instructor/Evaluator Metrics Management: Catalog and track instructor and evaluator performance data, ensuring accurate measurement for assessment and feedback loops.
  • Form Development & Data Capture: Support IDCAT observation form design, generate data collection worksheets, and streamline entry processes.
  • Regulatory Data Review: Conduct daily training data analyses as defined in AC 120‑54A, identifying performance gaps and recommending corrective actions.
  • Quarterly Review Support: Assist the Data Integration Group (DIG) and AQP teams with quarterly data reviews, preparing reports and responding to data requests.
  • Inter‑Rater Reliability Testing: Execute IDCAT inter‑rater reliability analyses, facilitating content updates and ensuring consistency across evaluators.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with Flight Ops Safety, Training, IT, and other departments to align data initiatives with broader business objectives.
  • Ad‑Hoc Projects: Undertake special projects as directed by leadership, leveraging analytical expertise to solve complex problems.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Aviation Management, Statistics, or a related field. High school diploma or GED is also required.
  • Experience: Minimum 2‑3 years of hands‑on experience in data analysis, visualization, and database management, preferably within the aviation or transportation industry.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise with Tableau (or comparable BI tools), Alteryx, SQL, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Statistical Knowledge: Solid understanding of statistical concepts, hypothesis testing, and data‑driven decision making.
  • Regulatory Insight: Familiarity with FAA reporting requirements and AC 120‑54A standards is highly desirable.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with a talent for presenting complex data in clear, compelling narratives.
  • Problem‑Solving Ability: Proven track record of diagnosing data anomalies, developing solutions, and executing them with minimal supervision.
  • Citizenship/Work Authorization: U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Experience with airline operations, flight training, or safety management systems.
  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative data integration techniques.
  • Proficiency in additional analytics platforms such as Power BI, Python, or R.
