[Remote] Kubernetes / Cloud Infrastructure Administrator

They are seeking a Kubernetes / Cloud Infrastructure Administrator to deploy, manage, and optimize cloud-based solutions in Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS, ensuring the support of mission-critical systems and compliance with security standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure to support business and engineering applications
- Deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters in cloud environments
- Monitor and optimize performance, scalability, and availability of cloud environments
- Ensure cloud environments meet RTX security and compliance standards
- Automate infrastructure and cluster provisioning, upgrades, and maintenance using tools such as Helm and Terraform
- Implement and manage Kubernetes networking, including ingress controllers, service meshes, and network policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess cloud requirements and provide solutions aligned with business objectives
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues while maintaining high reliability and uptime
- Stay current with cloud platform updates and best practices and provide recommendations for improvements
- Document processes, policies, and procedures for cloud operations
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
- 3+ years of experience in managing and administering Azure or AWS cloud environments with 1+ years of experience managing Kubernetes clusters in production environments
- Proficiency with Azure or AWS services, including compute, storage, networking, and security
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Helm and a strong understanding of networking principles and cloud security best practices
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices with Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Azure or AWS certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
- Experience working in both Azure and AWS environments managing multi-cloud-based applications
- Kubernetes certifications (e.g., Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD))
- Experience working in an aerospace or defense environment is a plus
