Overview

Due to growth, we are adding a Intake Specialist Team Lead to our team. Under direction from the Supervisor or Assoc. Manager, Patient Support Services and pharmacists in the Specialty Pharmacy, the Intake Specialist Team Lead is primarily responsible for prescription data entry into the pharmacy dispensing software and insurance investigations. The position also assists in incoming/outbound phone calls with prescribers and patients. Additionally, the Intake Specialist Team Lead will provide guidance and corrective action to applicable pharmacy staff. The Team Lead may be responsible for obtaining and verifying patient information including demographics, allergies, medication history, comorbidities, and payer information. This individual may be assigned to additional projects and responsibilities outside of regular pharmacy duties and will help to mentor and train new and existing Lumicera employees. Responsibilities

How do I make an impact on my team? Answering inbound calls from patients and doctor’s offices Managing the incoming and patient queues Maintaining a working knowledge of manufacturer copay programs and enrolling patients as needed in those programs Completing insurance benefits investigations for Lumicera patients Ability to assign and delegate tasks to other intake team members as instructed by Supervisor Assists in mentoring and training new and existing Lumicera employees Provides corrective action and training as needed Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What our team expects from you? High school diploma or GED required College strongly preferred National CPhT and/or registration/licensure required per employee’s residing state’s requirements Minimum two years pharmacy support experience or equivalent work experience and knowledge preferred Preferred understanding of Specialty Pharmacy drugs including REMS and Limited Distribution Products best practices At least 2 years’ experience and demonstration of proficiency in position at Lumicera or equivalent preferred Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees What can you expect from Lumicera?
