Perform independent technical verification of power, grounding, and interconnect cabling to confirm compliance with approved designs, equipment specifications, and site requirements.
Validate wiring accuracy, labeling, continuity, and terminations in preparation for S-VCS equipment installation and activation.
Document test results and verification outcomes and update designated program repositories or fusion hubs to ensure traceability and readiness for FAA acceptance.
Support post-site survey activities by validating survey findings, identifying technical discrepancies, and assisting with remediation planning.
Coordinate on-site activities with Facilities Key Personnel, Engineering Services, Technical Operations, Air Traffic personnel, and vendors.
Provide technical oversight during vendor installation or remediation activities to ensure adherence to FAA standards.
Support physical removal of decommissioned legacy VCS equipment following FAA-approved procedures.
Ensure activities minimize operational impact to air traffic services and comply with environmental and property management requirements.
Provide timely inputs to site execution reports, installation oversight records, and disposition documentation.
Requirements
Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Telecommunications, or a related discipline (or equivalent military or field experience).
Minimum 7 years of progressive experience as an electronics technician supporting complex communications, radar, or mission-critical systems.
Demonstrated experience performing power, cabling, and interconnect verification in operational environments.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation plans.
Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail in safety-critical environments.
Proficiency using test equipment (e.g., multimeters, cable testers, continuity testers).
U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
