Video Editor / Content Producer for Educational Animal Care Channel

Remote Full-time Now Hiring

I run a specialized mobile business providing sedation-free hoof trimming for pet pigs across multiple U.S. states. My work is highly visual, hands-on, and educational in nature, and I’m looking to build a YouTube channel that showcases both the transformation process and proper hoof care techniques. I am looking for a video editor/content producer with experience in animal-related or educational content to help turn raw footage into clear, engaging, and informative videos. This is not high-production, studio-style content. It’s real-world, in-the-field work, and I need someone who understands how to shape that into compelling and digestible content. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Edit raw footage (POV, handheld, and static shots) into:
  • YouTube long-form videos (8–20 minutes)
  • Short-form clips (YouTube Shorts / TikTok style)
  • Structure videos so they are:
  • Easy to follow
  • Educational without being dry
  • Visually engaging (cuts, zooms, highlights where needed)
  • Add:
  • Captions/subtitles
  • Basic graphics or callouts (labeling hoof structures, explaining steps, etc.)
  • Light background music where appropriate
  • Help identify strong moments in footage (before/after, key corrections, pig behavior, etc.)
  • Optional but preferred: assist with titles, thumbnails, and general content packaging

⸻ Ideal Candidate:

  • Has experience editing animal care, veterinary, grooming, or similar hands-on content
  • Understands how to balance education + engagement
  • Comfortable working with imperfect, real-world footage (not staged content)
  • Can take initiative in structuring videos, not just cutting clips
  • Has a clean, modern editing style (nothing overly flashy or distracting)

⸻ Bonus (Not Required):

  • Experience with YouTube growth strategy
  • Thumbnail design
  • Familiarity with agricultural, livestock, or specialty animal content

⸻ Workflow:

  • I will provide raw footage (likely from wearable camera, phone, or tripod)
  • Looking to start with 1–2 videos to test fit, then move into ongoing work
  • Long-term goal is consistent posting with a repeatable workflow

⸻ Budget:

  • Open to per-project or ongoing monthly arrangement
  • Please include your rate per video or hourly rate in your proposal

To Apply: Please include:

  • Examples of relevant work (animal-related or educational content preferred)
  • A brief explanation of how you would approach editing this type of footage
  • Your turnaround time for a typical video
  • Your rate structure

⸻ Important Note: This content involves real animal handling and hoof trimming. The goal is to educate and show proper technique clearly and responsibly, not just create entertainment.
